Stamp Duty Changes for First time buyers

It has been announced today by the Chancellor that stamp duty will be cut for first time buyers for properties up to £300,000. This does not apply if you have Help to Buy ISA

So, the first £300,000 will be free of a stamp duty tax up to properties worth £500,000

This is just one of a number of steps taken by the government to help first-time buyers onto the property ladder amid rising house prices, sky high rents and the rising cost of living fuelled by inflation.
